As someone who has been a personal stylist for over 10 years, Shelton Wilder instinctively knows what works and how to fix what doesn’t. Her gentle and honest approach to her clients has proven a welcomed break from always being told “you look great!” when sometimes you just don’t! Shelton believes that staple items are fundamental to your wardrobe –the basics are the secret to making your look work. As much as women need flattering jeans and properly fitting underwear, a key and often overlooked item is also critical –the slip!

Shelton, someone who herself is rarely seen not clad in a dress or a skirt, is possibly the best advocate for the necessity of the slip. “I searched high and low looking for a slip not just for my clients but for myself!” she says. “I moved to Los Angeles from the South in 2006 and founded Shelton Page, Inc. a luxury lifestyle management company. Part of this company involves creating entire wardrobes for my clients so I am fortunate that I have access to everywhere from the most exclusive boutiques to the shopping mall. Yet despite this, I was still not able to find a simple slip. I couldn’t believe it! All I was looking for was a well cut un-intrusive slip for everyday use. In the end, I became so frustrated at the lack of availability that I just thought, I’ll design one myself! And the Sheltini Slip was born… ”
